Would a 96 camaro v6 hook or burnout if you floored it from a stop?

double E Says: Almost anything with a live axle can spin the tire from a dead stop. The torque lightens the right rear to the point it just lets go.

schort_6 Says: watch top gear once and i think you'll have your answer. any car that can overcome brake friction can burnout. the trick is applying brake pressure at the correct time. years ago, my 71 Camaro was set up with a manual proportioning valve on the brakes. that way, when i wanted to light it up, i could turn off the rear brakes and use the front brakes to hold the car while the tires spun. by feathering the valve, i could also spin on one front wheel and leave black marks in donuts and figure eights. it takes practice, and i'd look up how to power brake, but i think your v6 Camaro would definitely pull off burnouts.
