My engine oil is a creamy light brown, oil on front of engine... info please!?

1. kegrilovessmu Says: I noticed my car wasn't running quite right. It didn't seem to have quite the power it used to. I also had an episode where I took my foot off the gas and it decelerated REALLY fast with a bit of a thunk. It's a 2001 Mitsubishi Galant if that makes any difference. I checked the radiator fluid & it is full. I checked the engine oil and it is a creamy whitish, light brown color, which I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to be. There is also oil all over the front of the engine that is black and clumpy. I think I know what is going on, but would love some opinions! Thanks!

2. Bald Eagle Says: STOP driving the car you have a blown head gasket and unless you want to spend even more money STOP driving the car. Don't even start it again until you have it fixed. The change your oil comment has no clue what he is talking about. If you keep driving it you will be buying a new motor.

3. Mr. T Says: Not to worry. There is a little blow by. Meaning the engine is getting tired. Change the oil on a regular basis. Replace the thermostat & coolant & monitor the condition.

5. mister ss Says: sounds like a leaking head gasket or intake manifold gasket, you should get the cooling system pressure tested.
