Can post-it notes damage the paint on a car?
(2011-11-03 14:25:03) 1. Says: My mom said that it could but i don't get how2. Says: Bless! No there is no chance it will damage the paint. I assume you want to do the old trick of covering your friends car in them?3. Says: No it will not damage paint. The adhesive that is used on sticky notes is always very weak and meant for removal without doing damage, even to weak materials like paper. You would have no worries sticking one to a car, unless for some reason the glue reacted with sunlight like some do and become more of a paste. Even then though, it would not harm the paint, just be annoying to get off potentially.
Hope this helps4. Says: I doubt it. Maybe if it was left on the car, and the sun baked on the glue from the post-it or something... You could always leave a post it note on someone else's car, or put it in an inconspicuous spot that's painted like the inside of the trunk, and see what happens.5. Says: the glue has whats called an accetate in it and after,oh,24 hours it could start to disolve into the finish, hope it helps?6. Says: no it wont, since the sticky notes are adehensive there not that sticky7. Says: No I doubt it. Tag: Can post-it notes damage the paint on a car?
