Car will not start up?

1. Mika Says: Okay, so two weeks ago I went to the library, and when I came out two hours later my car wouldn't start. I went inside, and tried to start my car up and a hour later it started up. Today, I drove to the gas station and pump some gas, when I went back in my car it wouldn't start up. I called a tow truck, and surprisingly by the time he got there (which was a hour later) my car started up. He opened my hood and told me the case on my battery was lose and then another case over a bunch of fuses is broken on the side. He said that their is probably lose gravel getting inside these compartments. I took the car to the dealership both times, the first time they couldn't find anything wrong with the car, the second time they stated they "think" the auto start is causing the problem. Can the autostart cause your car to not start?
2. mustangowner23 Says: my best guess based on what u said is ur starter is sticking it sticks when hot and when it cools down if unlocks u can try and bang on it with a bar or something to unstick but u will need to replace the "Starter" if it does a clicking sound when u try and start ur car then its ur baterie but if there is no noise at all when u try to start it its a bad starter.,the tow truck guy had a good guess sometimes the batteries dont make solid contact and dont bring juice to your starter fuses can be checked easily just take em off and u will see a metal wire and if its cut on the inside replace it but the best way to test it if with a fuse light tester
3. fredrulz Says: Sure can. Could be wireing or the starter going out to.
4. timmy Says: it can... but sounds more like a battery or alternator problem to me
