Can you take of the rocket cover of the engine with out replacing your gaskets?

Says: As long as gasket is not broken but problems may result in destruction to your vehicle's cooling system, pistons, valves and even the entire engine block if not 100% . May as well replace since they may be brittle any way, cheaper to replace and inexpensive too.3. Says: I assume you are talking about the rocker (valve) cover. A little more information like year make and model would help to answer the question. If the engine has a cork gasket you will need to replace it. Most newer engines have reusable molded rubber gaskets. If so, they can be reused as long as they are in good condition.4. Says: you mean rocker covers or valve covers, most newer vehicles have rubber gaskets that are reusable but the older vehicles do not and have to be replaced, really depends on the year model and engine.5. Says: Can you ? Yes.
Should you ? Only if the gasket is still in good condition. It's a cheap fix and easy if you've already removed the cover.6. Says: Yes you can, but they say you might aswell change it out bcuz you already have it off once you take the cover loose...7.
