How do i know if my bettas like their air pump?

2. Amy Says: Most bettas don't like air pumps to begin with because they are surface breathers. They prefer much calmer water. I'd say as long as the air pump isn't letting out so much air that it disturbs your fish they should be ok but if it's moving the water too much you should consider getting a less powerful air pump, bigger tanks, or just not using the air pump at all.

3. That guy what answers questions Says: If I recall correctly the 1978 - 1992 Dodge Betta's only came equipped with air pumps on the 8 Cylinder four wheel drive models. And in general they ran quite well with the 1.75 tank.
Fuel economy did suffer a bit however as the Dodge Betta usually got 14 city and 16 highway without the air pump and only 12 city 14 highway with the pump. but the vehicle seemed happy enough either way.
