Motability car has been vandalised will i be charged for repairs?
(2011-11-09 15:20:12) 1. Says: Hi, i am due to return my motability car as our contract is up, the car has been keyed quite badly, i reported it to the police the first time it happened but decided not to the second time- there wasn't anything they could do so why waste their time. Any ways as i say i'm due to return it and it dawned on me that i might be charged for the repairs. I hope this makes sense and i hope someone can advise. Thanks in advance.2. Says: My wife had a Motability car, which I drove, and while reversing into my own drive, I damaged the nearside rear passenger door and rear wing. I notified Motability and asked whether I should get it repaired on the insurance. After asking if the car was driveable (it was) they said that if I was prepared to drive the car in the damaged state, it wasn't necessary to have it repaired. I would, of course, not be entitled to the bonus at the end of the lease for keeping the car in a good condition. I think you should notify them but I doubt whether you will be expected to pay anything.3. Says: Sorry, but this is a leased vehicle. There are conditions about the state of the vehicle when its returned at the end of the lease period - it should not have damage of this sort. You should have got it fixed, not a lot to do with police, more to do with the insurance company. Its quite possible Motability will charge you for the damage.4. Says: You have to report it to the owner-agency and explain that you are not responsible. Also immediately report the second incident to police.5. Says: Hello
As you did not use the insurance and get it sorted at the time
Yes you will get the bill for sorting it out when you return it.
Andy C6. Says: You will be charged as you should have notified Motability immediately it happened as they could have claimed on the insurance.7. Says: Thats what insurance is for so no Tag: Motability car has been vandalised will i be charged for repairs?
