I got piston with arrow pointing towards larger valve. which way to i slide it in?
(2011-11-18 15:20:20) 1. Says: its a Yamaha moto4 champ 100. top of piston got two valve relieves one bigger than other, arrow points towards larger one. witch way does piston go? i searched the internet every one says arrow to exhaust , larger valve to intake. there both on one side !!!2. Says: I can not seem to find the answer. So it might be wise to just do a couple of test assemblies, Tighten the crank down and rod together. Then turn the engine and check for clearance problems. If there are none there, set the head on the cylinder and turn the engine over and see if what happens. If the head was damaged on the last rebuild, either the wrong orientation of the piston was used or maybe the rod piston combination was wrong.3. Says: Have you tried ebay etc to see if you can find a complete bottom end? A picture tells a thousand words!I just read this again and I think the valve relief on this piston is on opposite sides!
These guys also have a bit of Yammy knowledge

The arrow should always point towards the front of the engine.5. Says: Big valve is intake, small valve is exhaust Tag: I got piston with arrow pointing towards larger valve. which way to i slide it in?
