2003 Nissan Altima won't crank over? Code reader brings up no codes?
(2011-11-22 15:15:18) 1. Says: I have a 2003 Nissan Altima 2.5, recently we replaced the crankshaft and cam shaft sensor (about 6 months ago). I went on Saturday to have my oil changed and they recommended replacing the battery. Since I have a warranty this was free, but they were so busy they couldn't do it right away and I had somewhere I had to be. I was going to go back today to get it replaced, and when I went to go get in my car, it will try and crank, makes the noise like it's going to crank, radio will come on, lights, everything, but it will not turn over. Hooked the jump box to the battery, still nothing. So, although I will be getting my battery replaced, I don't think the battery is the only issue I am having, as the jump box was of no help. Also, the code reader brings up no codes as to help me solve the issue of what could be going on. Could it be my spark plugs or fuel pump? Or, could it be that my battery is so bad off that the jump box wouldn't help? But if that were so, wouldn't I not hear the radio and have no lights or anything? Any help would be greatly appreciated!2. Says: if you tried to jump battery, if the battery had a bad cell sometimes jumping won't work. But if you had a known good battery to test and try then the same thing happens then I say probably the starter or the place that tested the battery somehow sparked or shorted something that could of blown the main fuse or you did when you tried a jump box...you may of connected the cables backwards.I see this a lot when people try to jump start cars. and end up blowing fuses and cuasing more problems Tag: 2003 Nissan Altima won't crank over?
