Buying a car is really easy - being stuck with one you've bought in haste is something far worse!
If you 'need' a new car by Wednesday, spend £500 on something with tax & MOT and take your time looking for something to chuck several grand at.
As for the cars, I don't know, I haven't seen them, so I have no knowledge of condition, history, faults, etc. You haven't specified petrol or diesel (I assume diesel by the 143bhp), or what level of trim they are. You haven't given the age of the Audi either. Very high mileage though, it would need to be at least an 09 for that money. The Jetta sounds very overpriced - an 08 1.9S TDI PD with 30,000 miles should be around £8,000 at a dealer.3. Says: Personally i would not go for either. The A4 has a very high mileage for a 3 year old. The Jetta, which is basically a Golf with a different body stuck on the pan, is not very popular and will be harder to sell on. The Jetta has a;ways been an odd ball model squeezed in between the Golf and the Passat, too expensive compared to the Golf, not big enough compared to the Passat. If i absolutely had to have one or the other logic would say go for the 33k one. Personally i would look elsewhere.4. Says: Impossible to say without inspecting each car.
The Audi has done starship mileage for the age, and is the same car essentially as the VW so I guess out of those two I'd have the VW if I had a gun to my head, but I wouldn't buy either.
