How are fuel efficient cars environmental?
(2011-11-25 15:25:10) 1. Says: They are burning less fuel so they are emitting less exhaust in the air.But it's much deeper than that. It's very hard on the environment to extract and refine oil to make fuel. The machines that drill and transport the oil burn fuel too. Meaning the less fuel you use the less they pollute to make the fuel.
Another thing to consider is a fuel efficient car is going to be smaller. Meaning it requires smaller tires, less engine oil, less coolant and less of many other components and materials that all have to be made in factories that pollute from materials that are not so eco friendly.2. Says: They're not especially, but they're better than the gas guzzlers in that respect at least. Also they're cheaper to run.
Obviously there's things you need big vehicles for, but for just driving to work every day I'd rather have a small, cheap vehicle. They're generally easy to maintain too I find. At least the ones I've had.3. Says: First because they burn less fossil fuels. Now, while the electricity they get from plugs is often made from coal-burning factories, it's the support of the technology that matters. Anyone who brings up the coal factory thing should be kicked in the balls.4. Says: ?? i don't know
i've been thinking about that, even electric cars. . .you know they use gas to gather electricity right? . . . .so its not doing anything.5. Says: They use less fuel than regular cars.6. Says: less gas=less pollution. (boy, THAT was a tough one) Tag: How are fuel efficient cars environmental?
