Buying parts off eBay - Good idea or bad?

(2011-12-08 15:20:25)
1. Cpt Obvious Says: Basically I can't get parts from the scrapyards for my car. Some yards just scrap them for metal as they come in, and others have them stripped before I get to them. It's not a very common car, around here anyway.

So I'm asking the people who've done business over eBay, do they deliver (pun intended)?
2. kevusaborn Says: I never had a problem. And when I sell, I pride myself of a good star rating.

there is also www.car-parts.com local auto recyclers are listed provided you put in your

info and zip code. This is all free of charge as well.

Happy Hunting
3. Patrick Says: Yes it is safe as long as you are completely aware of what you are buying and receiving. If the product does not match the description, you can report it to ebay for a refund.
4. John Says: It depends on what the part is as to if it is a bad idea or not.

I believe it is quite safe and it delivers. And I don't even live in the United States - but I think I remember buying something off them lol
5. Snoofy18 Says: I've had good luck too, just examine the trader feedback and read the descriptions carefully and ask questions if something is not clear.
