2. br549 Says: A solenoid is nothing more than a switch that uses a low amp wire to connect a heavy amp wire.

Having said that, the wiring from your switch will go to the smaller terminals on the solenoid. The power supply (battery + voltage) will go to one of the big terminals while the load wire (to operate the plow lift) will attach to the other big terminal.
