What is causing my battery to drain AND my inside lights to flicker?

1. yourannoying Says: It is not that I left a light on or anything, it is an ongoing problem that we are stumped about. We thought it was the alternator, had it tested and it wasn't. We thought it was the battery so bought a new one, still not the problem- it is still draining. I ran it for only 10 miles and the brand new battery went from 100% to 85% the next day ( I have a battery charger-tells us the %).
I had a good answer on my last post, but I am wondering if this last detail I forgot to mention can solve my little puzzle here. The lights on my rear windshield wipers are flickering on and off constantly. They still work if I push them, but as long as the car is on they flicker. If it makes any never mind It is a 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan.

I guess the 2 could be unrelated, but it would be one strange coincidence since both problems started at the same time.
2. DKNY Says: You need to perform a parasitic draw test to find was is drawing amperage from the system. Normal draw after everything goes to sleep should be around 0.05- 0.20 mA. Anything above that will result in a dead battery within a couple days. Remember to use the 10 amp scale on your meter.
3. mdk68gto, ase certified m tech Says: the flickering can be a sign of a failing alternator. one of the fields is not putting much out if any. that can lead to an ac voltage or similar. take it into a shop and have the charging system tested and make sure that they look for an ac voltage. the alternator could be the failing part and not too bad to replace.
4. LukeHughes2008 Says: Sounds like uve got a knick in a hot wire somewheres that touching something metal.
