I'm getting a new job further from home, would it be worth it to get a more fuel efficient vehicle? (details)?
(2011-12-27 15:25:04) 1. Says: I currently work about 25 minutes, 19.9 miles from home, my car payment and insurance combined is $300 a month. My new job will be about 1 hour, 44.9 miles from home.Would the increase in my car payment be worth the cost in fuel?2. Says: There is a very good possibility that you could actually save on both the car payment and fuel, car prices are lower thanks to the failing economy and dealers are wanting to sell cars, a new fuel efficient car can and will save you at the pump, one more thing after watching a program on TV last year, this guy shows you how to save money by coasting,
I mean putting the gear in neutral and just coasting to the stop sign, or down a hill and what he did was pretty easy, I do it as routine now without even thinking, I went from 16.5 miles per gallon of gas to just over 18.0 miles per gallon, hey and I have fun doing it, just check the millage every time you fill up. Works for me big time,
Good luck on the job. Tag: I'm getting a new job further from home, would it be worth it to get a more fuel efficient vehicle? (details)?
