1. Chelsea Says: So i got a 1984 Cj-7 a couple of months ago and I have already replaced the master cylinder and the fuel pump. I am also in the process of rebuilding the Weber carburetor that was added on to the car a few years ago. I was just wondering if there were any experienced jeepers out there who had Cj-7 experience and could tell me there experiences and challenges with owning these vehicles
2. Nathan Says: Actually there is no specific thing that goes wrong with Cj-7 or there brother the Yj. But they do have the normal vehicle problems, like tranny, and seals go bad. The only seal we had problems with was the rear main seal, but we got that fixed. But! If it is lifted and has a more powerful engine, it has more tranny and axel and transfer case, so on and so foreth. Bt really if you treat your jeep well it will not have a problem. Check your oil, radiator fluid, and tranny fluid alot though.
3. gegarcia08 Says: given that your jeep is 26 years old most of the drive line will have to be rebuilt eventually unless it was really taken care of and doesn't have many miles on it. the biggest thing that can "go wrong" with your jeep is that you have rust in the frame or on the body. other than that all the parts are at your local auto parts store(i think ive replaced more than 70 percent of my jeep with new parts) hope you have fun restoring your CJ. remember that your jeep will always be a work in progress you will always find something to upgrade on it
