How do we find out which type of headlights we have on our car?
(2012-01-02 15:20:20) 1. Says: We have a Skoda Octavia VRS and are trying to sell our headlights and someone has asked if they are halogen or just normal lights. i have no idea how to find out. anyone have any ideas please?2. Says: I think what the person means is whether your Octavia VRS has Xenon or normal Halogen headlights.Firstly its a £550 option so you may see it on the original spec list somewhere when purchased.
Other way to know is do your headlights level automatically? If you have a pitch bender in the cockpit then you have normal halogens, if you dont, you have Xenons.
Hope this helps.3. Says: Pull the light out, if it is yellow it is a normal light bulb, if it is blue then it has gas inside (halogen or xenon, thus it is halogen lights...4. Says: Pull one of the bulbs without touching the glass part of the bulb and take it to a auto parts store. They can tell you.5. Says: From your house without pulling anything of your car. Go to autozone.com add your vehicle number, search for "headlight bulbs"6. Says: A Skoda VRS will have halogen lights as standard, and possibly xenons as an option.
