Alarm goes off when jump starting car?

(2012-01-06 15:20:09) 1. Tandy Says: I am trying to jump start a Nissan Altima and the alarm (horn + headlights) goes off whenever I connect the jumper cables to the battery. The alarm shuts off when I remove the cables from the battery terminals. I have tried connecting the cables when the key is in the Altima's ignition. Would anyone know how to turn the alarm off?2. The Oracle Says: if you can't turn the alarm off with the key remote then use the key to LOCK the drivers door then UNLOCK it, pause then try again. (that normally will reset the factory alarm) that is if you already tried the method of turning the ignition on and off twice with the key. (leave the jumper cables connected while you do this.)3.
