Best first car for a teen ! ideas?

1. Cody Says: Ohhh k I have 7000 $ saved up. Im looking for a sporty car and fast! I prefer a manual (thats all I have drove) so obviously for 7000 its gonna have to be used . Also is it better to buy from like a site like Yahoo autos or craigslist. Or a dealer? INSURANCE IS NOT A PROBLEM .(my Unchle is my agent) I have a steady job . Give me all ideas ricer or American. I turn 16 in a month! Cars I drive (parents) 08 ford Mustang Gt and a ford focus.. Haha my parents said they wont help but the car.. So its all me

SkwirlSkwasher Says: i'd buy a used Ranger, S-10, or something along those lines and dont spend more then 4 grand on it, so when you beat it up learning to drive better, it doesnt really matter and you'll learn to fix common problems with vehicles before you have a nice car of your own to maintain. Thats what i did and it's done me a world of good.

3. C Says: A focus is a good first car! Also, a Honda civic or accord are good starting points too. It's better to buy from private sellers usually, but sometimes you can find good deals at dealers. You should probably shop around both!
