How can i increase horsepower on a four cylinder?

2. Mizzouification Says: Honestly, there are not many upgrades for the engine in the 2000 Camry. You could add a better air intake and better exhaust, but that won't gain you much speed. The turbo charger would be a great way to add some horsepower but that will take a lot of modification and time/money. Nitrous Oxide is another good way, but can ruin an engine very easily. If you really want to make your car faster, then you will have to delve into the engine and do some major internal modifications. Also reduce weight. If you can drop 200 pounds or more, you will be very surprised how much faster the car will be. You honestly don't have the best engine for upgrading but it can be done if you want to put the time and money in.

3. Arty Says: I'm no mechanic but my bro is and we spend a lot of time together but you could throw a cool air intake on their and a new set of cams will boost hp. Depending on your budget and how experiences you are is a key factor.
