How do you remove a freeze plug from an engine block?

Robert M Says: Yeah, if there is room to work on it. Typically you use a freeze plug puller. OR you just drill a hole in it, and drive in a hefty screw or bot, and PRY it out. Drive a screwdriver thru it and pry it out.

Be careful not to score block hole.5. Don D Says: You can run a screw in it and pry it out.
Not sure why you would want it out.
