Robert M Says: You HAVE to stop using CHEAP oil changes in that FORD!!! Sludgy engine vapors from cheap wax based engine oil build up SLUDGE in your IAC valve and throttle body. THe IDLE AIR CONTROL valve on ford engines is REMOVABLE for cleaning!! It fine tunes your air/fuel mixture by adding AIR to the incoming fuel charge. Take 420 to ANY quicky lube, and have them clean out your T body and IAC valve to HOSPITAL FLOOR CLEAN!!!! Then your engine will run right. Switch over to MOBIL ONE 0W-30 engine oil and change it ONCE A YEAR! That's all you need!!! You save money and time by NOT having to change oil every 3-4 months, and your expensive engine sensors and converter will last the LONGEST!!! The chatter noise is ALSO from using cheap engine oil that has sludged up your hydraulic lifters and maybe even your TIMING chain or belt tensioners!! CHANGE your ways and use the BEST oils on the planet, not the CHEAPEST! You are risking O2 sensor and converter failure. GOOD LUCK!!

Leslie Says: I had the same type of problem in a different vehicle and it needed a new throttle body. It was so junked up they couldn't clean it all out! Dirty gas!!!!
