New makita kit already having problems charging the battery.?

1. Jay Says: I bought a Makita hammer drill/ impact/ flashlight kit with 2 batterys and the charger. Ive only had to charge it 4 or 5 time since I got it. One of my Li-ion batteries is fine but the other only blinks green and red. and wont charge. It says that the battery has a problem in it. Come to find out this is a common problem and customers are pissed off. At a Hundred bucks a pop so am I. Im not sure if I still have the owners manual with all the warranty paper work, id have to look. I bought makita for its good quality and customer reviews. its a nice set, but so far as a new tool it has let me down. What should I do to get a free battery out of the deal. To soon to have any issues with a new makita.

FYI Makita use to be great but not any more. Dewalt & Milwaukee and such are top dog these days. I use to buy nothing but Makita but will never buy another as they are junk now.

3. just bored Says: I'd suggest you look for your paper work, normally li-ion have a pretty good warranty on the batterys. I know my Milwakee M12 stuff is 5 years, but then again I know where my paper work is,

4. Lindsay Says: If you can find a repair shop that deals in Makita they will probably be able to help you with warranty issues, Next time if you want reliability buy a Milwaukee.

5. jorker dancer Says: Go to the makita web site and tell them your problem they will probably fix it. If not i had mine for 5 yrs and had them rebuilt at a battery plus store. works better then ever.
