(2012-02-01 15:20:11) 1. pats dad Says: just wondering how to empty the reserve fluid holder? its a 2001 ford explorer i already drained the radiator put the flush in with water and ran it. now before i put fresh anti freeze i want the reserve to be clean as well it still has the old nasty anti freeze in it how do i drain it?2. Russian Says: It's easier to just take it off and drain off. You can force-pump the fluid into the radiator or suck it up with a wet vac. If the fluid looks clean (no brownish tints - signs of rust), you can skip this step. They make a radiator flush fluid. Use that first and clean your radiator. Follow the instructions. They tend to work well and remove any stuff inside that the radiator drain did not catch.
