♥swingdancer23♥ Says: I'm looking at a 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid for a future car purchase. I keep seeing stuff like "5-speed manual transmission" in one listing and then in another "Continuously variable transmission". What is the difference, and does that mean they have both or just one or the other or...? Because I won't be allowed to buy a manual :/

g Says: A continuously variable transmission (CVT) is a transmission that can change steplessly through an infinite number of effective gear ratios between maximum and minimum values. And yes, it is an automatic. A manual is a manual, period.
