What's the cheapest muscle car I can buy in the uk?

Also no chance you'll be insuring anything but the weediest 1.0 litre Corsa as a first car when you get your licence.

(Sorry, that's sarcastic of me. Your insurance on a 500quid VW Polo with a NON-rice-pudding-skin-pulling {because it just can't} 1.0 litre engine will be well over 1500quid. If you ask a Broker on the phone for a qoute on a "Muscle-car", they will laff at you and hang-up. If you ask in a high-street Brokers' shop, they will poke you in the eye and laff at you.)

Just for reference, I'm aware of a brilliant young violinist, who had the earnings, and insisted that she wanted a Lotus Elise (1.8 engine) as her first car, after passing her test at age 19. Her insurance was almost FOUR GRAND. A MONTH.

4. Timbo is here Says: In the UK, unless you are over 50 ish for a first car forget muscle cars as the insurers either won't touch you or will ask for £20000 plus a year to insure you.

If on the otherhand you are over 50 ish then I suggest you take a look at a used Vauxhall Monaro

Buy what you can afford to maintain, insure and run. Then in a few years when you have a bit more money you could consider getting a better car.
