I have a 1989 chevy with tbi 350. I need help with ECM codes?

1. Corey Hitt Says: If your trying to figure out how to retrieve the codes, that's easy to do. You don't even need a scan tool. If I remember correctly you have to jam a paper clip between the 2 upper right hand terminals in the data link connector. You can also buy Code Reader tool W80520(just a piece of metal shaped plug right in to the data link connector) for $3 at your local auto parts store. Anyway. you just jump the 2 terminals, turn the key to the on position and read the code(flashing light). Its like morse code. Here's an example of how to read it. Code 43. You would see 4 long flashes and 3 short flashes.
