Whats the difference between ride height and ground clearance?
(2012-02-02 15:20:05) 1. Says: They mean the same the thing, the shortest distance from the bottom of the car to the road."Ride height" is a term I'm sure most F1 fans have heard at one time or another. It is essentially the distance between the base of the car and the ground. By adjusting suspension and aerodynamic characteristics correctly, it is possible to get a very low ride height. Why is this desirable though?
http://www.f1technical.net/features/106822. Says: Ride height = the overall height of your vehicle.
Ground clearence = the amount of space between the bottom of your car, and the ground. (If you have 2ft of ground clearence, you can go over something less than or equal to 2ft)3. Says: ride height is how tall it is(from the ground to the top)
ground clearance is how far the ground is from the bottom of it
