Do you have to set the gap for spark plugs ?

Then, folks get their brand new plugs, tap them on the bench and gap them with a $2.00 round gauge.They come very well gapped from the facotry. Unless you have some sort of aftermarket ignition system, you simply need to take them out of the box and install them properly.4. Get a spark plug gaping tool from the auto parts store. They don't cost very much.5. Says: read the box...most Platinum or rear metal coated plugs recommend NOT adjusting as it ruins the coating,,.You could carefully check to see but u risk damaging it6. Says: always gap
