Says: i have a 95 eg hatch and i have some coilover slipons. if i move them to the lowest one side is more slammed than the other im sure i need new shocks cus my car feels like ****. any suggestions on which ones should i buy?? good brands please but i just ant the SCHOCKS and for them to be $200-$300 thanks!2. Says: This is a true story Armando: A pick-up truck bed fill of the most expensive shocks in the world will not change the ride height of the car side to side one thin dimes worth! .Your coil springs *rates have dropped on the low side of the car / or / the adjuster rings around the shocks need to be raised on the sagging side of the car.*Coil over springs are measured on a spring tester @ so many pounds per inch of spring travel. Companies who sell coil over kits don't use the world's best coil springs. Afco, Hyperco and Swift springs are the best money can buy.
You are stuck between a rock and a hard place. More than likely who ever made the springs didn't scribe the spring rates on the tapered ends of the coils. This is pretty typical of no-name springs. If you call the company who made this kit they might tell you what the spring rates were when they were sold to you when they were new. If they do, order some good coils with the same overall height and 25 more pounds of spring rate.
PS. Monroe doesn't make coil over shocks or springs thank goodness. Monroe is the lowest of low-life brand of shocks right along with Gabriel.3. Says: well which do you want? Good shocks or shocks for 200-300? I think you may find some ok ones in that price range but I got the feeling that you are going to be looking at about 500 for a real nice set.4. Says: try some monroe matics good shocks Tag: Good shocks for my 95 civic?
