Tell me about a car you had that you hated?
(2012-02-02 15:30:11) 1. Says: As for me I had a 97 Dodge Neon. The devil and all the host of hell made that car. I got it in 98 when it had 21k miles on it. The head gasket blew 3x before I paid it off! What about you? Tell me about a car straight out of hell that you owned?2. Says: I had a dark green minivan which refused to start--but never when it was at the repair shop. They couldn't fix what wasn't wrong.Then it was the car our daughter was driving when she was involved in a serious accident. It was totaled. I was not sorry to see it go.3. Says: Hate is a pretty strong word!
The car I owned that I liked the least was a 1985 Jeep Cherokee. But it got us around, and any complaint I have has to be accompanied by the realization that those problems helped me grow in character.
It never could keep a fan belt on. The water pump went out on a long trip. But I know at least one of those delays kept me out of a natural disaster.
Another (and maybe first) was a Honda Passport, but it lasted long enough to have gotten my wife to her last cancer treatment before it gave up the ghost again (the second engine threw a rod).
Can't say I hated any of them, I learned from them and do not wish to repeat the errors of my past.4. Says: I once had an 88 Nissan hardbody that appeared to be in great condition before I knew anything about mechanics. I drove it for 3 days, then the transmission started to slip. Then i found that unless i pulled the turn signal up when i parked it, the headlight would come on and my battery would die. Then the power steering went out. Man did my forearms get strong. Then after a whole can of carb cleaner and a lot of vacuum line replacement, it finally passed smog and ran like a champ. Then two weeks later this lady stopped in the middle of high speed traffic, i had nowhere to move and bam. Im out of a truck and now i have back problems. I do miss that truck though. Weird right?5. Says: My 2000 mercury had antifreeze going into the spark plugs i had to dry the spark plugs every week and i finally got rid of it. But now i love my 2008 car :)6. Says: LOL yes, those were junk
Mine would be any econobox from the 80's. Like the Chevy Chevette or Ford Pinto. My feet with work boots on were to big to get into and drive. Had to take my shoes off LOL7. Says: Dodge daytona in 1996. The fly wheel broke three times!8. Says: Ford Focus.. the A-pillar was too thick, when you would turn left it totally blocked your view9.
