Is a oil leak on a 1997 Audi A4 Quattro 2.8L expensive?

1. Edgar Says: Im thinking of buying a 1997 Audi A4 Quattro 2.8L but it has a few flaws.Im getting it at a good price but it has a minor oil leak.Would this be an easy fix or is it a deal breaker?please let me know before I make my decision.

2. R K Says: it depends where the oil is leaking from. if it's leaking from the oil pan or the oil filter or drain plug
that's easy to fix. if it's going out the exhaust the engine could need new piston rings. if it's leaking out
of the valve cover or the heads, that could just be a bad gasket. i wouldn't buy it without knowing exactly where the leak is coming from.
