Why does everyone hate Ford Tempos?

1. ? Says: Why do early 90s Tempos face such a tough rap? Is it just because theyre ugly cars?

2. Desert Rat Says: Most likely it's because they don't have very sleek body lines. They're pretty plain Jane, but they do the job. Having some experience with 2 of these fine gems in my life, I can tell you that they run pretty good, but if you have the automatic shoulder belt, those things fail pretty regularly. Outside of that, they aren't really that bad. You won't be picking up any hotties in one though if that's what you're going for. lol.

3. fodaddy19 Says: They were just unexceptional, average-at-best cars. They didn't do anything well, and were easily outclassed by it's primary competitors. I mean it didn't get even get an automatic transmission with overdrive during it's entire production, and it only got a much needed V6 engine option during the last 2 years of it's production run. Ford didn't do this car any favors.

4. Andy Pandy Says: It's a reliable tin box that goes from A to B as and when This is wot cars do and are for. If ya have a few million to spare get a ferrarrie or similar it'll still only go from a to b!
