Whats the head compression on a 1986 nisan 2.4 i got 75 lb out of each cylinder?

2. nobody special Says: 75 is too low, I would check the timing belt, sounds like it slipped a tooth, that would explain the compression being even accross the board.
If you have bad rings, or bad valves, not all 4 cylinders would have an even 75 pounds each, so are you sure your gauge is good and are they all at 75 pounds exactly?
check my gauge first, and then my timing before tearing it down
3. Evan Says: It sounds like you might be doing the test wrong because its extremely rare to get a super low reading across ALL cylinders. Usually 1 or 2 will fail, making the engine inop, preventing the other 2 from running to failure.

5. Dennis Says: Your cam timing is retarded. Take the valve cover off and I bet you see a really loose chain
