4L60e 99 silvera won't upshift, brake and ABS light on, 0 speed?
(2012-02-03 15:20:11) 1. Says: 99 Silverado 5.3L 4X4 140,000 miles, trans was rebuilt and after I got done no upshift, it will go in 2nd gear only manually, no 3rd or 4th gears, revers is good, ABS and brake lights are on, replaced NSS neutral safety switch and VSS vehicle speed sensor, what happens is when I put it on AUTO 4x4 the gauge will work as soon as the car moves something make 2 clicks then the speed dies (speed never goes over 5mph) the 4X4 light serves comes on along with the brake light, ABS light is always on, I check all fuses & all good even the brake fuse!! trans and engine oil is up to to level.I don't have OBD scanner shops are a little far and don't have much for towing+fixing, any idea? thank2. Says: There are 3 different speed sensors on that transfer case!!! One is a vehicle speed sensor. One is input speed sensor and one is front output shaft speed sensor. They all have the same plug and can be plugged in the wrong spot

It sounds like you have the front output shaft wires plugged into the rear vehicle speed sensor and the plug that should go to the rear vehicle speed sensor is plugged into the front output shaft speed sensor. I would swap those 2 and disconnect battery to clear codes and see what happens.3. Says: Definitely the speed sensor or wires to it. VSS controls lots.
