Headlights dont work?

1. Brandon Says: so i was playin in the mud in my 72 chevy and my battery flipped over inside. since then my headlights dont work. i followed the wires to them and theres no breaks or any spots that it fried the wire. i checked the wires with a dvom and there is no power to them at all. does anyone have any ideas on what it may be or what i can look for?

2. ? Says: Burnt out relay, burnt fuse, shorted out switch. This is about all it could be.

Just because the dome light comes on when you turn the headlight switch does not mean that it still isn't at fault, because the dome circuit is on its own, there are two parts to that switch.

Yes if the headlight relay is toast the dome light will still work, but no headlights.
