General Motors Touch up paint?
(2012-02-04 15:20:30) 1. Says: I just got a 2009 Buick Lacrosse CX on Jan 29th. I was at school and some idiot hit my door with his door while I was in class and now my car has a 1/2 line of paint missing from the driver side door. I am having trouble figuring out the exact color code, but my best guess is that its Dark Stone Metallic or Dark Tarnished silver metallic. Here is a picture:

I am hoping someone can give me the exact color code of the car and direct me to a website where I can fint the paint.2. Says: All GM cars have the paint code located under the spare tire cover in the trunk, not on the drivers door. It is on the Service Parts Identification Label.
I just checked my paint computer and Dark Stone Metallic was never put on the Lacrosse, at least not the 2009 model. The paint code for Dark Tarnished Silver Metallic is WA911L.3. Says: There should be a sticker in the driver's door jam that contains this information. There will be some code there that tells the number of the factory paint color. You can always ask at a parts house that sells touch up paint also. If the paint has "clear-coat" over the paint color, you'll need the clear-coat also to get the color to match.4. Says: The color code should be located on the drivers side. You should see a sticker when you open the door. If not, go to AutoZone, they'll help you look for the code. Then you can buy the corresponding touch up paint, brush it in and be on your way5. Says: I have provided the link for Automotive Touch Up Paint. Tells you where to find the sticker on the body, how to read it, and then you can get the paint from them also.
