2002 Chevy Impala LS whining noise?

1. Lilneso Says: I just recently bought a chevy impala, and everything works. The thing is that when i steer, i hear a whining noise. We thought it was power steering, but the car steers fine, and the steering wheel is easy to turn. Can anyone suggest what may be the problem?
