2007 Silverado 5.3 V8 Header suggestions?

1. Trey Says: I have a 2007 silverado V8 5.3. I'm looking to get some headers. The brand I had in mind was pacesetter because their prices are fairly low compared to some other brands. Is it maybe cause they're cheap and I'm better off spending more money on a better brand or is pacesetter fine. Also should I get shortys due to how easy it will be to install or will long tubes be much better for performance? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
2. LadyTune Says: I was not aware of that brand but I just visit their website, and if they make their headers with the same quality than their webpage you better get away from them, I would recommend Hooker Headers, they are not that expensive and good quality.

If you want to help you select tuning options for your truck, you may find useful use a car performance simulator, there you can virtually do the mods and see how the car would improve, give a try at http://www.nxgtrsim.com to help you decide.
3. rick29148 Says: Lotta ways to cut costs when making headers, most of which will come back to bite YOU on the butt. Buy a name you know .... The longer the tube, the better the exhaust flow, but only at higher rpm. So if you're a street cruzzer, shorties or maybe mid-length will do. And could be a huge difference in installation time.
