Why are most Land Rovers Freelanders so cheap for such low millages for some?

I know the Freelander is newer than mine, but they're shite. Head gaskets fail. Transmissions fail. Rear differentials leak oil and fail. Brake calipers stick and leak fluid. Rear tyres wear unevenly. The central propshaft viscous couplings pack up. Water leaks in. The door window regulator cables snap. Rear suspension and differential bushes wear and split. I could go on. The V6 models lose oil from the corners of the head gaskets. The later Td4 engines have the turbo so low down that they crack when it goes near cold water. The turbos also fail and suck all the oil into the engine. The high pressure fuel pumps fail. Injectors fail... etc etc etc. Buy a Honda CR-V. A far superior car, and will last longer, be worth more in 5 years, and you shouldn't have a bad word to say about it. And I am a Land Rover nut.3. You may want to consider a Toyota RAV4 or Honda Passport for greater reliability. Even the newer model Ford Explorers are not bad.4. Armageddon Says: Their fuel consumption. Petrol versions burn a lot of fuel and diesel costs to much then add on the cost of road tax for a four wheel drive and most people can not afford to run them any more.5.
