$5000 2003 Honda Element 233,222 miles on the odometer,is this a deal or no deal?

A car with that many miles is not a good investment unless the entire engine has been replaced.You get what you pay for my friend, and that is not a smart purchase. You can find lots of decent used cars under $8,000 with less than 80,000 miles. Don't buy a cheap car that will break down and fail you in the near future when you can spend a little bit more money and invest in a car that will be reliable and keep you happy for many years to come.2. Says: no deal, 2500 dollars would be plenty that car will never be worth more than wholesale with that many miles. You would spend 1000 dollars to get the timing belt done ,I will guarantee its overdue3. Says: no deal, to many miles. But have a mechanic look at it first it could be o.k.4.
