Why does the new 2012 altima?

Says: the on board mpg calculate says i am 26.5 mpg. but by my calculation. miles traveled divided by gallons purchased. are off by 1 to 1.5 mpg. i calculate just 25 to 25.52. Says: The on-board computer's reading is just a collection of averages. It's just an estimate. It doesn't know how much fuel you put in the tank, so your calculations from tank to tank will always be more accurate.As you drive and do more fill-ups, the computer will learn your driving habits and the estimate will get better.3. Says: The onboard calculation is never completely accurate.
