Can someone walk me through a private party vehicle purchase in Pennsylvania?

Says: Seriously, I need a step by step, like when do we purchase the insurance, how do we do the transfer, when do we need to register, etc. Please only clear, concise answers, not "if your state requires this, you do this, and then that"We are purchasing a minivan from the red cross so I want to have all our ducks in a row, so to speak.2. Says: I live in PA, and this answer assumes that the Red Cross is giving you a clear title to the minivan.
1) You pay the Red Cross, in whatever means is agreed upon.
2) They give you a bill of sale, stating the date and terms of the sale, whether or not the sale is "as-is" (usually deemed as-is unless they are giving you some sort of guarantee, which is rare).
3) They give you a signed title, and you sign as the buyer in the presence of a notary. You WILL need a notary for this. (See step 6)
4) You take the vehicle off of their property, it's YOURS. No returns, no "do-overs".
5) You call your insurance company before driving the vehicle as the owner, and have them fax over a PA identification card showing proof of insurance.
6) You go to the DMV or a title service place (which usually has a notary onsite), and sign as the buyer... pay the registration fees and taxes, and get your tags if they've expired. If they haven't, you'll get notice in the mail when it's time to re-up them.
7) Smile, you're an owner. Tag: Can someone walk me through a private party vehicle purchase in Pennsylvania?
