Saab 93 - 2001 2.0 liter turbo won't start?

1. Kabu Says: Was sputtering, changed spark plugs then it started ok and sounded good. Now, won't start - sounds like it wants to but just won't.
2. nywholesale Says: Have your mechanic check for a clogged exhaust system including the catalytic converter. Due to Saab's poor design in many areas of this engine, the catalytic converter is known to clog up and cause a multitude of running and no start conditions. It also contributes to the premature destruction of the turbo. Hope this helps. Happened to my 02 9-3 SE.
3. Southside Says: try to start the car, determine if you have spark and proceed to pull the plugs immediately and see if they are covered with gas.. if you still have the old plugs, examine them and see if they are covered with carbon, ( black, powdery). if so, i would suspect coolant temp sensor (not sender for gauge, but sensor for computer), or a bad map sensor. take a look and get back to me
