My 2002 Chrysler Sebring LX won't start?

Says: when i tried to start it i kind of heard the motor but it didn't want to go. what i think (little car knowledge) is that the battery is dead. however, the oil light comes on. i check my oil levels and theyre fine. so i have no idea. thanks for your help.2.
