Is subaru owned by toyota, or are they partnering with toyota?

I'm wondering if the quality has decreased? or is it just a partnership?2. Says: In 2005, Toyota purchased 8.7% ownership stake of Fuji (who owns Subaru) from GM.3. Apparently several aircraft were called "Zero," including the one built by Nakajima, which was reborn (The Allies bombed the hell out of two of their factories; Zeros were too good to allow them to continue being made.) after the war as Fuji Heavy Industries. You should read your history more fully.5. Says: Two things...Subaru is a division of Fuji Heavy Industries, which Toyota purchased a portion of, which is a controlling stake of Subaru. So far, Toyota hasn't affected anything of Subaru (Except perhaps the ugly that is the 08+ Impreza), at least not quality-related. They have made the higher performance Subarus more boring and pedestrian, though, more Toyota-like. Secondly, Fuji Heavy Industries did not make the Japanese Zero, that was Mitsubishi.
