Is Volkswagen a reliable car maker?
(2010-05-29 14:33:26) 1. Says: I just want some info from people who own Volkswagens, I'm looking into buying the new 2010 Golf TDI. I hear that they are the best cars in the world. Also that they are not very reliable.2. Says: ABSOLUTELY!! They make wonderful cars with great crash test ratings, and there is really nothing to complain about with their cars. They work great!3. Says: I don't know anything about that particular car, but VW has been in business for a long time, so they must be doing something right.4. Says: The TDI is a pretty good car. VW in general has slipped in terms of quality control though, most people think their quality was better 5-10 years ago. Some cars run great forever while others are problem prone.5. Awesomeee for my car at least.some people say that their car is totaled and they only have a scratch or they are in a wreck and their car has a scratch. So they are really safe.7. Says: Personally, I think the older volkswagens were a lot more reliable. Growing up, my parents had several and we rarely had any problems. I bought a 2001 VW Jetta as my very own first car and have had constant electrical problems with it. True, it has lasted me almost 10 years, 110,000 miles but when I think about all of the hassles I've had to deal with in getting things repaired I don't know if my faith in VW can ever be restored.
