1. jimmy Says: this is the 2nd time now. my truck blows the oil filter seals and I have a mess goin on!
2. bigpapa Says: Make sure it's not double gasketed. When you remove the filter check the base for a gasket stuck to the block.
3. Jfggdjh Says: Sounds like theres a clog somewhere or the oil pressure is too high. Check your pipes.
4. idontgivafork Says: try a different brand of filter, the majority of them are made by allied_signet,but arent equally made.
5. Dude Says: The oil pressure relief valve spring may be to stiff, or the high pressure side of the oil passage may be clogged. What you could do is drain all of the oil out and replace the filter. Fill it to capacity with ATF. Start it up and let it run for a few minutes at idle. ATF will help clean out any passages and will still leave enough lubrication for the motor. Drain the ATF, but don't change the filter and refill with oil. The little bit of oil left in the filter won't hurt anything and will help to clean your system. ATF is a high detergent type of oil.
