Buying a new exhaust?!?

3. Vin Says: First to making things clear, by making the exhaust note softer adn the muffler size smaller, means you sacrafice power out put as well as creating some back pressure. If your still okay with that than can either get a more restrictive catalytic converter. That is the best way to do it.
Or if they make scilencers for you muffler, you can get that. That would be 100X cheaper than any other way. It could be customly made also. Google exhaust scilencers for more information.
You can also install a valve controller on how much air flow through your exhaust. And you can lower the exhaust note dramtically but still have full control over the note, depending on you mood while driving.
