07 Ford Mustang Question?

1. Fatboy Says: I have and 2007 Ford Mustang v6.
I have noticed that what the car is off an emblem begins to flash near the gauges.
My owners manuel says it the Anti theft system.
Reading more it say the the SecuriLock passive anti-theft system say been activated.

I currently installed and amp to my car and i had to cut some wires to tap into the door speakers and i removed the battery.
That's about all i have done.
Im also staying with the stock head unit.

How do i DE- activate the anti theft sysem?
I use to not flash before.

2. bryangullickson Says: well you can take it to your local dealership is about all you can do because that crap is all computerized now days so probably you should have had a audio technician install that amp so id probably have that checked out.

The Ford SecriLock passive anti-theft system is the key recognition - there's a microchip in your car key that the anti-theft system recognizes when you put it in the ignition and allows the car to start. That's why it costs so much to replace a lost key.

That said, check your user manual to see if there's a way to turn the notification lights off. I know there is for the seat-belt minder, so there may be one for this as well. It usually entails turning the key in a certain sequence. If it's not in there, you're going to have to talk to a Ford tech and see if there was something triggered when you removed the battery.

CANT SAY MORE WITHOUT SEEING A CAR.
